Jamie Ropars is a graduate of Rider University with a BA in Elementary Education and Dance. Rider's affiliation
with the Princeton Ballet School allowed her to not only train there but also perform with the American
Repertory Ballet. During that time she trained with Marc St - Pierre and attended master classes with Douglas
Martin and Mary Barton. While at Rider, she was a member of the Rider Dance Ensemble where the proceeds from
performances supported various charities. In addition, she earned membership in the National Dance Education
Organization which is an honor society for dance majors.
Jamie is currently a substitute teacher and a performer at Sesame Place. Jamie enjoys performing in the
shows and parades as well as being the dance captain. She teaches the shows, parades, and leads auditions
for Sesame Place. Jamie also is an Extreme Dance team member for the Trenton Freedom of the Professional
Indoor Football League.
In her early years through high school she trained at a local studio in all genres of dance and also began her teaching career there. Other accomplishments include performing with the Roxy Ballet in The Nutcracker and winning numerous awards at local and national dance competitions. Jamie continuously aspires to make a difference in young people's lives.
